Kiewit, one of North America’s largest construction and engineering organizations, is being recognized as one of this year’s Best Workplaces™ in Canada. This is Kiewit’s ninth consecutive year on the list. This full list of winning companies will appear in a Special National Report in today’s The Globe and Mail.
“We’re proud of the work our employees accomplish across Canada and to be recognized alongside many of the country’s most notable companies on the Best Workplaces list,” said Vice President of Human Resources John Shaw. “Kiewit people tackle some of the most challenging and important construction and engineering projects in the country, and they’ve done so for more than 75 years. They also work hard to preserve and build upon the unique company culture that makes Kiewit a great place to work. They should all be very proud of their accomplishments.”
The 2019 Best Workplaces™ in Canada list is compiled by the Great Place to Work® Institute. The competition process is based on two criteria: two-thirds of the total score comes from confidential employee survey results and the remaining one-third comes from an in-depth review of the organization’s culture. This offers a rigorous representation of the organization from an employee perspective, and an overall portrait of the workplace culture. Together, they provide crucial data relative to five trust-building dimensions: credibility, respect, fairness, pride, and camaraderie.
This year’s list received over 400 registrations and over 80,000 employees participated in the 2019 “Best Workplaces™ in Canada” survey.
