Across the Kiewit organization, projects and offices spent Veterans Day recognizing those who served. Many hosted a special breakfast or lunch to honor employees who served. The Arlington Memorial Bridge project team joined the North Virginia Veterans Day Parade.
Kiewit presented a $10,000 donation to Helmets to Hardhats at the Hickory Run Energy Station (HRES) project site in Pennsylvania. Helmets to Hardhats connects National Guard, Reserve, retired and transitioning active-duty military service members with career opportunities in the construction industry. Helmets to Hardhats Regional Manager Daniel Breslin accepted Kiewit’s donation and gave remarks.

“The funds will be used for getting our message out to veterans,” shared Breslin. “With 250,000 veterans transitioning out annually, keeping them informed of the opportunities in the construction industry is Helmets to Hardhats’ number one priority.”
